F/T Sunderøy – setting a new standard
Delivered form Astilleros Gondan to Prestfjord AS in October 2020, F/T Sunderøy represents the pinnacle of modern pelagic trawlers.
Vessel efficiency has been one of the main priorities for Prestfjord AS in the design and building of F/T Sunderøy. From a Hybrid Shaft Generator solution including a battery package, to state of the art fish finding systems, the vessel is packed with technology that ensures optimal efficiency.
Captain Lasse E. Johannessen, who has also supervised the building process, is satisfied with the vessel. “We have now had the chance to test F/T Sunderøy in real life conditions for a while, and the conclusion so far is that we have built a very well functioning and effective vessel”.
